Some of my Favorite... Words?

Here are some of my favorite words from Sam lately...

"I'm tired; Mom, I'm goin nigh night with my EYES OPEN"
"ACTUALLY, I want to play legos, not trains"
"I want ONEBUDDY (somebody) to come with me"
MOM, I'M UNNA TELL YOU SOMFIN (after stopping mid conversation to say this)
WOOK AT ME (what's funny is that Addison taught him how to say this! She says it all the time
"I love you so much, do you love me so much, too?"

No, No, Yes, Yes!

We have this book called No, No, Yes, Yes. It shows things that you should do (Yes, Yes) and those you should not do (No, No; duh). I have been holding onto the book since I was a little afraid the book would give my kids ideas on new things to try: Put toys in the potty, Write on the wall, Eat dog food, (mostly they haven't tried these yet!) Anyway, Addison saw it the other day on the counter and wanted it; we've been reading it the last few days and she loves it. She looks at the picture and says what it is and Yes or No: "No pull kitty tail", and then pets the kitty nicely; No eat woggy food, woggy eat food, etc. Yesterday, Sam climbed in her crib with her after nap and she wanted to read the book. He decided to read it to her so I kept working on the laundry right outside her door. I overheard him "read" the book to her without any interpretation. I went like this, as you might expect: "No, No; Yes, Yes; No, No; Yes, Yes; No, No; ..." Well anyway, you get the picture, right!? So I told Sam to tell her about the pictures too so she knows what he is talking about. He said "No. I am only reading it."

I totally had to laugh! Can you imagine a librarian reading this book... "No, No; Yes, Yes; .." without any description!? Too cute! I know Addison knows about the pictures, but for someone listening just outside the room, it sounded so random and funny!

I love the special times my kiddos spend with each other!

Singing, boots and lipstick!

Addison's just turned 2 and recently began singing... loudly! She also has finally let me put her hair in a pony tail and actually leave it there! Today she is singing, playing in her new Hello Kitty boots and putting on pretend lipstick... all over her face and on her brother!
